Ossi at shows 2000
At his first show at the age of 9 months Ossi won the Best of Breed under Elisabeth Rhodin from Sweden. He got also CC and won group-3rd. Ossi's debut at shows couldn't have been much better. Well, a few weeks earlier he did attend a match. To our great astonishment Ossi decided to show people some dachshundlike stylishness and so, in the end he was Best in Show! Ossi is at his best trotting proudly around the show ring. Whenever he catches sight of the show lead, he's about to go crazy out of sheer happiness.
In the summer 2000 Ossi won 12 best of breeds, all of them at all-breed championship shows. He got the Estonian Winner title and won BOS at Finland's Dachshund Speciality, losing the BOB only to his niece. We were also in Italy in June at the World Dog Show - an unbelieavable 105 miniature wire-haired dachels were present! Ossi, rated "excellent" by judge Brigitte Preuss, was the 4th best junior male while his Italian brother was the third. Both of them also got to strut their stuff in the Freckle-Face breeding class, which, as expected, was the best breeding class. The latter part of summer was especially kind to us - in four weeks Ossi in fact went four times Best in Group! When Horst Kliebenstein, a Dachshund specialist from Germany, judged the BIS-ring at Kouvola 19.08.2000, Ossi broke the bank and took home the Best in Show-trophy.
Ossi was also in Poland at the European Winner -2000 Dog Show 29.10.2000. Under Judge Mr Stefan Stefik from Slovak he won Best Junior of Breed and got the European Junior Winner -2000. Ossi was also pulled from the line in BIS-junior competition. At the end of the year Ossi was #1 Top Winning Dachshund and #10 out of all breeds in Finland.
